Over the past few months we’ve been dreaming of our next adventure so we’ve put together a wish list of our favourite hotels to revisit, and new ones we can't wait to discover. And of course, they’re all dog-friendly!
Lympstone Manor, Lympstone, Exeter
This stunning Georgian mansion, set in 28 acres and overlooking the Exe estuary, is the perfect rural retreat for a foodie and their pup. Two dog-friendly suites lead out onto the lovely gardens and woodlands, then down to the estuary and beach. Dogs are also welcome on the outdoor terraces, which make the perfect spot for a early evening drink whilst watching the sunset. The restaurant is sublime with Michael Caines in charge creating culinary delights using local seasonal ingredients. It’s no surprise he was awarded a Michelin Star after being open only 6 months.

The Gurnard’s Head, nr St. Ives, Cornwall
A charming Cornish dining pub with 7 bedrooms on the breathtaking Atlantic Coast, wonderful for a slower pace of life. Dogs are welcome as much as their owners and after walking along the coastal paths they can join you in the restaurant for supper. The menu is simple, earthy and delicious using locally sourced ingredients, with wines and beers hand selected. If the long walks don’t send you into a deep sleep then the Vi-Spring beds certainly will.

Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire, Dogmersfield, Hampshire
Steeped in history and set in 500 acres of picturesque grounds, this 18th century manor is a wonderful place to reconnect with the whole family, including your pup, in total luxury. As well as walking through the stunning estate, there are many outdoor activities to enjoy including horse riding, fishing, cycling and tennis. When the British weather lets you down you can relax in the spa and enjoy reading the papers in the beautiful lounges. The main restaurant Wild Carrot, creates classic British dishes with seasonal produce that are sure to delight.

The Bonnie Badger, Gullane, nr Edinburgh
Located in the pretty village of Gullane, surrounded by beaches and golf courses, this hotel is perfect for golfers and nature lovers. The beautiful dog-friendly sandy beaches are 10 minutes walk away and you’ll often see families and windsurfers out enjoying them. The hotel has dog-friendly bedrooms and your pup is also welcome to join you in the bar and restaurant. With the kitchen overseen by Michelin starred chef Tom Kitchin, you can expect some delicious pub classics from their ever-changing menu, a perfect remedy after a day out exploring. The interiors have been lovingly designed using local artisans and craftsmen, creating a home away from home.

Another Place, Watermillock, Lake District
Situated on the shores of Ullswater lake, with 18 acres of grounds, this is a wonderful place for the active family and their dog. From the hotel, there are beautiful running trails and cycling routes, with water sports such as kayaking, sailing and paddle-boarding to name a few. If you want to relax there is also a spa for a massage or a dip in the indoor pool. The hotel has a contemporary interior, with a mix of bedrooms, suites and cottages to suit your family's needs. You can dine with your pup in The Living Space, one of their two restaurants.
